Catalina Island is rich with unique fly fishing opportunities.  We primarily launch to Catalina from Alamitos Bay, and have about an hour boat ride to the Island.  Fishing begins around sunrise and lasts until 12:30.   

 

We provide all fly and light tackle gear, including leaders, flies and lures for up to two anglers, unless you prefer to use your own.  Our clients fish from our Parker 21SE center console using high end gear, like Sage and Winston rods, with Tibor, Abel, and Waterworks reels. 


If you are using your own gear, we recommend 8-12 weight rods loaded with 300-500 grain integrated shooting heads and 15-20 lb. fluorocarbon tippet material.  Flies are baitfish imitations, like clouser minnows and deceivers, ranging in size from 4-1/0. 

  

We recommend wearing a windbreaker and layers on cold mornings.  Please bring your fishing license.  Water and soda will be available, and some fishermen bring snacks or a light lunch.  

$450 flat rate for one or two anglers.
